“If we have the ‘khadi spirit’ in us, we would surround ourselves with simplicity in every walk of life” – Mahatma Gandhi.
Khadi is made with a lot love and effort. The dancing bobbin, the singing shuttle, the gentle purr of the charkha and the soft caress of the weaver’s hand breathes life into it.
Little Khadi was born; to make wearable, moveable, breathable clothing that allow our little ones to just be. No pokey seams, no irritation and comfortable across all seasons, these can be worn all day long.
We work with happy colors to create minimalist designs that are easy on the eye and exquisite in its attention to detail.
There are 12 intricate processes that go into making Khadi and manufacturing one metre can take up to 4 hours. This love, patience and skill, is precisely what makes Khadi special. Each fabric is gifted with a unique textural quality and subtle variation; with each wash our clothes become softer and kinder on the skin. Khadi shimmers with life, caresses you gently and allows your skin to breathe.
What We Say
Khadi symbolizes freedom and simplicity, which are the core values for our designs, too. Little Khadi allows children to enjoy free movement and play comfortably. It makes us happy to know that these babysteps are a nudge towards a better future – making children’s clothing that balances fashion with comfort, and is mindful of its social and environmental impact. Nothing gives us greater joy than seeing cheerful kids and happy parents.#}
